- Chances are I accidentally stumbled upon your blog - it definitely wasn’t bookmarked
- Your blog theme sucks compared to the next guy’s
- Your blog has significantly fewer subscribers than the next blog
- Your blog has significantly fewer comments that the next blog
- Most people don’t care about your blog or your story
Heck, I’ll even throw in a bonus one:
- It’s probable that someone has already written about the same thing you just wrote about…and it’s probably better

The Way It Is
“Blogger” is not synonymous with “published author”.
Ha! Love it
This is exactly why I have no real aspirations for my blog. All of the above are inaliable truths and really - I just do mine to improve my writing and communicate with my family back home.
@Spook…
I like your approach. A blog with no expectations. Stress free
How about:
Blogging like so many things can become an addiction.
@spook
I too was naive and once thought, “I have no real aspirations… I just do mine because…”
Now, I get the shakes if I can’t post for a couple of days. Or say, “if only [insert crackpot like Michael Behe] would read my last post he woud see the error of his ways.”
Run while you still can…
…seriously. Run.
* The person who spends a few minutes on each entry will inevitably have more readers then the person who spends hours on their entries.
* If you beg in your post for comments, you will not receive them.
* You will only be found funny when you’re trying to be serious.
* Conversely, you will be found offensive when you try to be funny.
* All the tips and tricks from blogs about blogging only really apply to blogs that are about blogging.
… I’m sure I can think of a few more.
“Blogger is synonymous with published author.” That’s a great one. LOL.
@John…
You’ve noticed that too, eh?
That is scarily true.
The few people who DO read your blog are just trying to get ideas for their OWN blog.
@Nathan
Good one
Wow
people are saying that stuff? why wouldn’t they just MOVE ON? it seems that it would be much easier and less time consuming (reading and writing)for someone who isn’t interested in what you have to say….just a passing thought.
I think my self esteem just plumited! And all along I though people liked me and truly wanted to hear my story!!!. ;-)~
Of course none of these blog truths apply to the authors and readers of THIS blog.
