Long story short, I’ve decided to change forum software for the FC Forum. For those of you who’ve already registered, sorry…you’re gonna have to re-register. For those of you who haven’t yet…now’s your chance.

Ha! Got in there first. Yes!
I mean after Administrator and Bill.
I am such a kid.
Bill, when you ask if I am older than 13 years I assume you mean physically not mentally.
@Ed…
That is correct, sir.
That disclaimer statement actually comes with the software. Interesting…
In fifth.
Why did you pick ‘Benefits of being a Christian / atheist’ as the titles for the subforums? That’s a short argument.
Benefits of being a Christian:
Boy Scouts of some of America (+ others, like Elks club)
American Legion can consider you a veteran
National Motto considers you a citizen
Pledge of Allegiance can be said honestly and in full
Easy to find communities (churches)
Political career is possible
Automatic association with being a good person (’that’s very Christian of you’)
Benefits of being an atheist:
Less tithing, more sleeping in on Sunday
Christians win.
@Ben…
I was pretty much just creating forums to fill up space. Nothing is permanent at this point.
Do you have any suggestions?
Hmmm….
I would suggest one subforum for the ‘vs.’ Maybe call it apologetics, or metaphysics, or something.
@Ben, I’m not so sure, I really value my lie in on a Sunday.
I’d like to see a forum on morality. Your know for those grey areas things that a fun to debate.
Of course I’d consider abortion and homosexuality to be grey areas and some Christians may consider the death penalty to be a grey area….
@Ben…
Oooh, I like that! Good idea
Bill, I’ve just blogged about a headline in the papers over here regarding a Jehovah’s Witness who preferred death to a blood transfusion (probably a slow news day). Have you an idea of when we can post to the forum because it would be ideal for the “What are the benefits of being an Atheist?” topic.
Actually if you’ve got a slow news day yourself you could post something about it. The idea of following a church restriction even when it contradicts common sense is something that tends to irritate me. JWs aren’t the only ones.
@hov…
How about you blog about it here on FC. Let me know…I’ll set you up with an account
Well I’ve already blogged about it on my own blog and I do so hate to repeat myself. :d
Oh, go on then…if your sure that you don’t want to put forward your own take on it?
@hov…
I would just love for you to get some air time here. Also, I think it’s a fun dynamic to have multiple authors.
I’ll participate in the comments. If you don’t want to, no worries, bud
No, no, go ahead and set me up. I assume you’ll email me the details. Note the new address. Sadly I can’t access my home email for another 4 or 5 hours because I’m supposed to be doing some work.
….
….
Yeah, must get on with that.
I worked in an ER for 4 years and I watched, really watched, in the same room, a JW bleed to death because he wouldn’t take blood.
