I’m in the process of putting together a forum for this site. As much as everybody loves to talk, ask questions and challenge each other, I think it’s only fair that I allow you guys those opportunities w/o having to wait for me to post or get around to your question.
There’s a problem, though - I know nothing about forums. If any of you have any experience in creating, administering, or just using forums, do me a favor and give me some advice. Feel free to register yourself an account if you’d like to be one of the first!

I just tried to register using three different user ID’a.
Each time I got the messege:
“A new user was registered with the same IP address as you within the last hour. To prevent registration flooding, at least an hour has to pass between registrations from the same IP. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
I’ll try again in a couple of hours.

The forum code has a built-in DoS prevention tool that looks to see if the users IP has been used in the past hour.
Great feature, but I have a web distribution server on my network, so ALL traffic appears to be coming from the same IP.
Like I said, you guys should be good now. I’m just gonna have to figure out another way to prevent DoS attacks.
