Continuing a trend I’ve seen on other blogs lately, I’d like to ask these two simple questions:
- If you could travel to any two places in the world, where would you go?
- If you could change two things about the world, what would you change?
I’ll answer later tonight.

The Grand Canyon and the Great Wall of Chine would be my two places. I’ve never been to either and I want to.
Any two things? hmmm.
1) I’d remove all weapons from the planet. If you want to kill each other then you’re going to have to use a lump of wood with a nail in it. None of this “kill someone who is two continents away with the touch of a button” malarkey. You’ve got to get up close and personal with your death dealing.
2) As this is a religion based blog I’ll stick to religion for my second choice. You have to choose: Church or State. You can’t serve both. It’s just not allowed. You can keep your faith if you like but you have to use evidence and logic in your decision making processes rather than divine guidance. [-o<
I’d visit Lithuania (again). I can’t pick a second place right now, because my list is way too long.
I’d stop war and I’d stop religious prostelyzation.
It’s a hard choice between that and eliminating poverty for my second choice, actually. But I think poverty is easier to overcome.
Well, if I’m limited to Earth…
1) St. Petersburg, Russia
2) Any city that falls within the Arctic circle (preferrably in Sweden, Finland or Russia)
1) No more disease
2) Quadruple the average human lifespan
The average human lifespan on this planet is 34 years. I’m not sure about other planets. I’d like to live longer than 136 years please and I’d like to look good in my speedos when I get there. :p
Sorry, I’ve had my turn haven’t I?
If I could travel any two places I would first go someplace tropical, secluded and serene…..second would be a third world country to help out…Africa, Nicaragua…etc.
Changing things….Since the only one I “serve” is Christ, I think I would want the ability to share the evidence I have within me effectivly….and stop the violence….whatever kind it may be.
LOL!! Hover! as soon as I log on…you are totally making my day!
Places I would like to visit;
1. South Africa
2. New Zealand
Two things I would change if I could;
1. Starvation
2. no nukes..agree with Hover-want to kill someone-don’t be a coward, look them in the face…too easy to push a button and not be impacted at all.
hahaha wouldn’t we all like to look better in a bathing suit? =))
If I could travel anywhere in the world “safely” I would probably choose somewhere within the holy land. I have always thought it would be just awesome to walk where Jesus walked and see what I have read about. Now if I were only wanting to lay on a beach and soak up a Margarita…..well then I would be going to Capri, Italy.
As for changing the world please hold while I assume the in flight position with my red super-girl cape on……
If I could change 2 things about the world I would want a world where everyine loved each other and because of that love we were all always willing to help each other out. The second thing I would change would be Eve’s bite. If that little apple gnawer would have resisted we wouldnt be in the mess we are and like my first answer the world would be so very different and we wouldnt be living seperated from God while living here on earth. Darn little apple gnawer!!!
2 places
1) Australia
2) South Pole
2 things to change
1) Hover you always take all the good responses, I have to go with you’ve got kill face-to-face.
2) One single language (accents only)
@SKEPTIGATOR,
One single language? That would be my nightmare! I love languages. Each one has its own charm and different spin on expressing “reality.”
@hoverFrog,
Quite right. I should have specified average industrialized-nation lifespans: so 300-400years. And that period from 20-40, yeah, that would be the longest stage of life by far. :))
Skeptigator, Accents only…I love it! I speak w/a British accent and a southern one often around the house, just for fun. Occasionally I try to be Irish but it always comes out Asian…I don’t know why…
2 Places - Back to Waikiki! And to Missouri to see my family.
2 things I would change…
1- NO MORE CELLULITE!
2- NO MORE SPEEDOS!
:d
2 places:
Galapogos (with a good guide)
Yellowknife (to see the Aurora)
(I’ve actually been to some of the places I’ve always wanted to go… and these aren’t on my immediate next-trip list. But they are on my list. Also I’d put the Serengeti, the South American rainforest and Antarctica.. but my list is getting toooooooo long!)
2 things?
I only want one. Self-sufficient colony on the moon or Mars. I think the long-term survival of the human race depends on getting some of our eggs out of this basket.
Skeptigator-you can still use the same as Hover then I will feel like there are two of you! LOL its really not all bad.
Praying you all have a good day, and for those that think it is pointless to pray, have a good day anyway! :)>-
I’d go to Sydney Australia and Rome, Italy.
I’d eliminate sickness/disease too. I’d also change the Detroit Lions into a winning team. Seriously

The Lions screwed Harrington ya know…I love Joey and felt so terrible for him when he played for Detroit…
But…because I like you I hope they have a good year too. Wow that hurt!:o
