Here is a list of ten things that I’ve learned over the past 2 weeks:
- I refuse to live a life of [tag]regret[/tag]s. I will not live a life of fear. I’m taking chances. I’m going for it all!
- Pursue your dream job. Don’t settle. Money does not equal happiness.
- Pursue big things. One [tag]Christian [/tag]writer put it like this: Go after a dream that is destined to fail without [tag]divine intervention[/tag].
- Allow your faith to be challenged. Allow yourself to grow.
- Step out of your comfort zone. You’ll be surprised how much there is to enjoy/learn/contribute to.
- Eating greasy food for a majority of your meals will eventually take a toll on your body.
- If you miss a court date for a traffic violation, your license can be suspended.
- There is no such thing as the “perfect time.” You’ll always think the sun will be shining “tomorrow.”
CeaseSeize [oops] the day. Act now. Go for it! - I lose 10-15 years of maturity when I step foot into [tag]Medieval Times[/tag] yet I don’t mind.
- I love hosting [tag]FriendlyChristian.com[/tag]!

My Journey
I can recommend this book for job hunters. It’s a quick read but will transform the way you look for work.
As for greasy food I can also recommend a vegetarian diet as being particularly low on grease and fat.
Leuconoe, don’t ask — it’s dangerous to know —
what end the gods will give me or you. Don’t play with Babylonian fortune-telling either. Better just deal with whatever comes your way.
Whether you’ll see several more winters or whether the last one
Jupiter gives you is the one even now pelting the rocks on the shore with the waves
of the Tyrrhenian sea–be smart, drink your wine. Scale back your long hopes
to a short period. Even as we speak, envious time
is running away from us. Seize the day, there is nothing else beyond that.
- Horace (Odes 1.11) 23 BC
Speaking of Carpe Diem I can also recommend watching The Dead Poets Society if you haven’t already.
It would appear that I am recommending things today.
And forgetting to close my tags. :”>
I gotcha, dude
Hmmmmmm 10 things I’ve learned in two weeks….
* Standing firm in your beliefs does not mean excluding but including…
* Bubble faith is really not faith at all.
* I wanna make a diference
* Walking takes more time to get somewhere but you learn more along the way
* I feel much better eating like a rabbit than I did a carnivore….
* When you assume you just have something before u & me..
* I don’t think about floating amphibians anymore when I hear hoverfrog..
* I don’t take enough time to make shapes out of clouds….
* My faith is stronger, and I care more about people with differences than I did before..
* Life is what you make of it, and directed by your decisions and beliefs…what an awesome thing it can be.
I do think you meant “seize the day”, not end it.
Good call, Tom
Floating amphibians ha
Carpe diem translates to “pluck the day” actually but seize sounds better.
Actually, when I think of “hoverFrog” I think of diamagnetism.
Is that what you intended?
I think you’re all a little crazy. Thanks for making me smile today
Polly, not at all. The name comes from a course I was on that was demonstrating the idea of inheritance in objects (a computing course) that mirrored biological inheritance. You have an Amphibian object with certain characteristics, a Toad and Frog object that inherit characteristics from Amphibian but have their own as well. You can apply new characteristics to a new object (the ability to hover) and inherit all the characteristics from the Frog that you want (hopping, long tongue, etc).
The lower case “h” and uppercase “F” is a nod to that part of the course as well. This may well make me a nerd.
hoverFrog isn’t my real name. My real name is Jason.
Interesting diamagnetism link though.
My……brain……hurts…….:o
What I know….I am so not a risk taking person. I love the the everyday repetitiveness of life! I am dull. What I am learning…..it’s fun to hear the excitement in Bill’s writings as he speaks about risk taking, not letting life pass you by, pursuing big things. Am I envious? Nope, but happy dullness isn’t hereditary!
Gods Gal, really? I probably wasn’t explaining it well.
I caught the your name is Jason part, lol, does that count?:d/
