By a curious coincidence I saw Louis Theroux’s documentary of the Phelps’ last night. I think it was called American’s Most Hated Family. I like Louis, he’s typically British in his innocent questioning and it’s funny how he just doesn’t ever seem to “get it” so he keeps asking very naive questions. It’s a better watch that the Keith Allen documentary that did the same thing because Keith is very argumentative and kept trying to trap someone from the family into a mistake.
Personally I have no problem hating Fred but I do feel sorry for his kids and grandkids.
If there is a God then he should smite Fred with his smiting power. I suggest that the ground open beneath his feet and swallow him but lightning bolts are another option.
Ok so maybe I am taking these verses out of context somehow but I dont really feel like I am…
1 John 4: 20 says…
If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar.
Fred Phelps hates many people. He spreads the message saying God hates them also corrupting Gods word. For this I am truly saddened.
Then… Psalm 63:11 says…
But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God’s name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
So although I genuinely would love to duct tape and hog tie Fred Phelps in a remote location where he will never be found again…
I trust that one day God himself will do our world justice and silence this liar. I really hope God uses duct tape. REALLY!

Gretch-a-sketch, duct tape can work miracles. They’re generally of the healing kind though.
