An excerpt out of unChristian (some emphasis mine). This post requires a response from YOU.
It’s not just our lifestyles that have gotten us [Christians] in trouble; it’s the very way in which we convey the priorities of being a Christian. The most common message people hear from us is that Christianity is a religion of rules and regulations. They think of us as hypocritical because they are measuring us by our own standards.
The most compelling research we did on this is a recent study in which we asked Christian adults to identify the priorities Christians pursue in terms of their personal faith. We did not prompt any answers; respondents were able to mention anything that came to mind. What do you imagine was the most common response?
Whaddaya think?? I’ll give the answer plus my two cents manana.

Umm…I’ll guess following God / Jesus.
Going to church
The question is a bit vague. Is it “What are your priorities in life and how do they relate to your faith?” or “how does your faith effect how you prioritise your actions in life?” or “What are your priorities in life as a Christian?”
Back in my brief dalliance with paganism I would often quote the 4Fs as my priorities. Flags, flax, fodder and frig. It translates into “May you always have a home to live in, clothing to wear, food to eat and someone to love.” Everything else is clutter. Of course a mortgage, four kids and a couple of decades have allowed me to re-evaluate that.
The priority: To love God and love our neighbor whoever they may be. Do this in every circumstance in every situation. To be honest about who you are to everyone to not show a false gospel. I think that is it.
well there is probably more to that but I think “loving God and your neighbors” covers a great deal.
I would say, love for people, trying your best to live every day as Christ would want you to, and point others to Him, even in our failures.
The most consistent thing I read in the blogs of my Christian friends is their personal relationship with God and through this following God’s guidance.
So what was the most common answer and what was your answer?
(hate suspense…)
Romans 10:9) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
For me the priority is: 1) Cultivating my relationship with the Lord 2) Telling others the Good News.
But my guess is that the most common answer is “Being a good person”
I guess we’ll never know…
